Automatic route planning

This guide explains how the automatic route planning works in Previsto

If you have many customers, you know how time-consuming it is to plan your work so that you do not spend too much time on transport. If there are more employees in the company, it is just hard to figure out how to prepare the best routes while keeping the agreements with customers.

With Previsto at hand it is different; The calculation of the optimal routes takes place completely automatically. All you have to do is 1) Create Customers and 2) The Agreements you have made with them. After that, the system automatically manages the best driving routes for you.

How does it work?

It’s really simple. Previsto needs the following basic information about the agreements you make:

  • Where should the work be done?
  • When was it last done?
  • How often should it be performed?
  • Where do the employees live and when do they work?

Based on the above criteria, Previsto can make a route planning completely automatically. It calculates all distances between customers and employees, takes account of customers intervals, and then finds the most optimal routes that fit the employees working hours and at the same time ensures the least possible driving.

Using systematic calculation of routes has many advantages. Imagine the following scenarios:

  • New employee in the company
  • An employee becomes ill for a shorter or longer period
  • An employee needs vacation
  • A customer moves

In all of the above scenarios, you don’t need to do any manual planning with Previsto. You just tell Previsto about the change that has taken place and then the most optimal routes are planned based on it.
