Notifications via SMS and Email

Many need to let their customers know the date the work will be done or send a notification when the work has been done. Some customers prefer email and others SMS, but it's not always easy to keep track of. It's now made much easier with Previsto's support for notifications.

What are notifications?

In Previsto, a notification is a message you send to your customer via either email or SMS. It can be in advance of some work to be done (an alert) or when you have completed work at the customer's site. The notification contains details such as what work will be done, what date it will be done, etc.

When an alert is sent to the customer about upcoming work, the work will be locked until the date the customer has been informed (you can still manually change the date). If you have specified a message you want the customer to receive with the notification, it will also be included.

Why is it beneficial to use Previsto for notifications?

As mentioned, it can be difficult to keep track of who needs to be informed and who you have already sent a notification to. It's also not always easy to remember their phone number or email address. When you use Previsto, you don't have to keep track of all those details and you can easily see if the customer has already been notified, and with one click you can send notifications to all or selected customers on a route.

You can even go to the individual customer at any time and see which notifications have been sent to them and when.

How do I do this?

You must specify how you want to send notifications. You do this under Company-> Notifications. Here you can also set up Previsto to automatically send them e.g. 3 days before the planned work or when the work is completed.

If you want to send a notification to a customer yourself, you can do so by going to 'Schedule', open the menu next to the customer you want to notify and select 'Send notification'. The customer will then receive a notification via SMS and/or Email and the task will be locked until the date the customer is notified.

You can find more details about notifications on this page.
